With the warmer weather now upon us, many of us will be taking advantage of the many beauty spots in and around  our district., which  is a safe place in which to live, criminals will often take opportunities in car parks for these area’s

If you follow simple guidance about vehicle safety you can work with us to reduce incidents of nature.


Vehicle related crime remains a key concern and there are several simple precautions that you can take when leaving your vehicle unattended which will help you reduce the risk of becoming a victim of car crime.
Secure your vehicle, by locking all doors and closing windows (including sunroof) every time you leave your car, even if the vehicle is parked outside your house.
Remove everything from the vehicle, ensure that all valuables are removed. Make sure you don't leave anything on display such as a handbag or coat. Car criminals window shop – take away the temptation – they also observe that ladies tend not to take the dog for a walk with a handbag and therefore assume you have concealed it in the car  (break in to find out just after you are out of earshot with the dog).
